This is beautiful Mama Mia who gave birth to 7 healthy pups last Nov. 2. (All pups adopted.) We rescued Mama Mia from a kill shelter while pregnant and she was the best first time Mom ever. She was not happy when we pulled her from her babies to take these photos - squirmed and wiggled and did all she could do to get back to her babies. Mama Mia is about one year old and we think she is a pure bred.
UPDATE! Mama Mia had a reunion on Dec. 27 with one of her pups and it was so priceless. They loved on each other, rolled and played, and the pup looked for milk and she allowed it. Mama Mia is currently with a foster sleeping under the covers with them at night. They say she is a lover, a snuggler, who would do best getting as much attention as possible with little time left alone. A true Velcro dog and what a wonderful companion of unconditional love!Her ideal home would be one where she is not left alone much, would continue to be spoiled, and not have to compete for affection from you!

NOTE FROM FOSTER: Mia is truly a special dog! She has bonded with a "hard to bond with dog". Then when a very cautious dog was brought into our home, she brought out the best in her her.

That said - she still has a connection with me (the foster) and likes to snuggle and cuddle and wants to be in my lap or wherever I am. She is crate trained; however, she hats being in the crate. She is not completely housetrained yet, but we are working on that. She just does not like to go outside in the cold.

Anyone who takes this dog will be truly blessed.
