Chip is a very good boy; he has great house manners and is kennel trained. He is great with dogs and cats, with a very gentle soul. He really would make an amazing dog for any home.  He LOVES being around his people and is definitely a “follow you around the house” type of dog. He loves to give kisses. He is good around all ages of kids and is sweet even if they’re being a little too rough-and-tumble. He is good around new people and doesn’t do a lot of jumping. He would do really well as an office dog. He loves getting attention, but he’s very respectful of people, friendly, and calm.  He LOVES fetch and is eager to go outside, but after chasing the ball half a dozen times, he’d prefer to go inside and lounge on the couch. He also likes chasing squirrels. He does pull on leash but with a little work he will be a pro in no time. 

He came into our care after showing up at a farm and staying in their hay barn. The farmer called the local sheriff because there is no animal control in the county he was found in. The deputy reached out to us about him, and we knew we had to help him.
