Rachel was owned by an older person that ended up going into asssted living facility. The son did not want her and took her to a shelter. Because of her age (at 7 she is not a spring chicken but she certainly doesn't have one paw in the grave by any stretch of the imagination). She was not going to be put on the adoption floor because of her age, opting instead to PTS. We spent a week trying to get her but due to a mixup with ID numbers we were originally told she was not there, but we did eventually get her out. Rachel is now in foster care in a home with many other fur babies. She was a bit overwhelmed and wouldn't but fortunately we were able to move her to a quieter foster home and she has done very well. Rachel loves people, food and car rides - so if you'd like to plop her in the car for a ride to the local Dairy Queen, we'd be very happy for her Other Pictures of Rachel (click to see larger version):
