Meet Dalton!
He was an indoor dog for the first eight years and then a baby came along and he was banished to the outside yard, with no love, attention or even adequate shelter or comfort. He can dig under fences if left for a prolonged period of time, so needs to be mostly indoor dog with play time outside that doesn't last all day unsupervised. He may be a senior but he still have lots of energy and wants to play. He does not do well with cats or small dogs.
**Update from foster family**
Dalton was initially thought to be about 12 years old, but we think he's more like 10 years old. He's very social and has a sweet personality.
He likes going for jogs and is great with medium to large sized dogs. He doesn't need to be around small dogs or cats, though. Due to his age, Proverbs has graciously offered to waive his adoption fee. His foster is also willing to throw in his dog bed and crate to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him!
He enjoys being around people and likes to cuddle. He would make a great companion, but probably doesn't need to much excitement. He knows his name and comes when called. He's housebroken and likes to take walks. He also knows 'sit,' 'no' and is crate trained.
