Hi, I'm Randy and I am a little firecracker! I was saved from the brink of death by Proverbs. I was just sittin' in my cage at Greenbrier Animal Control when the officer noticed something was very wrong- I looked much different than the day before. I was breathing with my mouth wide open and drooled enough to cover my front legs. I was very scared and he tried to get me an appointment at his vet, but they said they were too busy because it was memorial day weekend. I was rushed to Cornerstone, but the whole way there my foster mom was scared because she thought I wasn't breathing. But I MADE IT and I feel GREAT!

I found out I have something called FIP. It makes everyone sad to hear, but I have no idea what they are talking about because I am active, happy, not on medicines, and I don't really think I'm "sick". I have much better things to think about than stupid FIP! I don't have time for that!

However, my diagnosis means I cannot live with other cats unless they too have FIP. They tell me I can live a very long time with FIP with proper nutrition and a relaxing environment. Honestly, I do not really get along with dogs at this point, but I am coexisting with two large pitbulls right now and I am trying my best to learn. I am very, very happy as an indoor cat. Beware, I will mash my face into your face and walk across you while you are sleeping because I love you so much. I purr like crazy! If you hold me, I will hug you with both arms and nuzzle into your neck to hide my face. I am a lap cat and I LOVE to chase toys. I use my hands a lot and will tap you on the arm or leg when I want you to notice me. I am a lot more active than my roommate Big Buford. I don't really get along with him. When I see him I just stare, and something makes me want to grab him with my claws. My foster mom says "snap out of it Randy!" but it's like I'm in a trance! My foster mom says she is not really sure if I would do that around a girl cat. She also thinks I might get better after my testosterone decreases since I was recently neutered. I am doing my best for her! I would just have to be tested with your animals. Please think about me. I am waiting for someone to play with forever- I promise I will love you before I even meet you. Sincerely, Randy

Special Needs: Randy tested positive for coronavirus. He will need to be an only cat or live in a home with other coronavirus kitties. Randy will require a healthy, high quality diet and a Lysine supplement to keep him at his peak. Coronavirus does not affect people or dogs.
