Sweet Shadow is one of the seven hoarder dogs we took from Cheatham County Animal Control in mid-Oct. All were anemic from flea infestation, had sores on the skin, were missing hair, some heartworm positive, and all coming out of a life of torment.
Shadow was in the worst shape (and most likely the matriarch of the group). In addition to being heartworm positive, needing surgery for entropion eye lashes(lashes growing inward continually rubbing the pupil), needing to be fixed, having a tumor on her side and oozing sores from sitting on a hard surface for years, we sent her to the vet for what we thought was an ear infection "not improving" only to learn she has a tumor in her ear.
