Volunteer

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO VOLUNTEER
We are a small, active group who is always in need of a helping hand. Some of the ways you can participate:
  • Transporting: We always need help moving animals around from shelters, vet clinics, foster homes etc. You can specify how far you will be willing to travel, which days are best, and how often you can help. Proof of insurance and safety training required.
  • Events/Fundraising: Our fundraising committee develops and organizes fundraising events to raise funds to support our mission. We need volunteers at all levels of fundraising from event staffing, marketing and publicity to leadership.
  • Adoption Events: Volunteer 2 to 4 hours on Saturday(s) to help at adoption events. This includes set up and tear down, transporting animals and supplies to and from events, greeting visitors and providing information about Proverbs, working with the foster cats and walking and watering dogs.
  • Cattery Cleaning: Not only do we need cage cleaners to scoop litter boxes but we also need volunteers to play with cats or kittens, help socialize shy cats and kittens and groom long-haired cats.
  • Graphic Design: Volunteers take photographs and design printed materials to advertise special events and ongoing efforts to find homes for our animals.
The Volunteer Questionnaire should be printed and returned in person during or Saturday Adoption Day at the Bellevue Petco between 11am-2pm. Printable Volunteer Questionnaire
