Our rescue runs entirely on the compassion and dedication of volunteers like you. We rely on foster homes across Middle Tennessee, and our volunteers play a crucial role in helping us save lives every day.

Ways to Help

Transport Assistance
Volunteers are always needed to help get our rescue animals to vet appointments, adoption events, and new foster homes. Reliable transport is one of the most important parts of our mission, it helps us respond quickly when animals need care or placement.

Adoption Events
We welcome volunteers at our weekly adoption event every Saturday from 10 AM–12 PM at Petco Bellevue.

Volunteers assist with:

• Event setup and breakdown
• Caring for animals during the event
• Speaking with potential adopters

Community Events
We also participate in community events throughout Middle Tennessee to spread awareness about our rescue, connect with potential adopters, and engage with fellow animal lovers.

Volunteers at these events help with:

• Setting up and managing our booth
• Greeting attendees and sharing information about Proverbs
• Handling dogs and helping them shine for the public
• Promoting adoption, fostering, and volunteering opportunities

These community events are a great way to represent Proverbs, meet fellow volunteers, and share our mission with new supporters!
