Barney, the classic Beagle, was recently rescued wandering along a busy road. Our vet feels he is two years old and his rescuer says he is "...the sweetest dog ever, friendly, playful,... just the perfect pet!" Unfortunately his rescuer can't afford the care of an additional dog in their family although Barney gets along well with others. He has had a rough time on his own and must be treated by us for a variety of ailments, including Heartworm, before he will be adoptable. We learned of his plight after area shelters said they would put him down. His fatal journey to the shelter changed with our phone call as he arrived. We expect this sweet boy to be healthy again, current on shots, neutered and ready to go in late August. We had him neutered July 24th. Please consider him as a dog worth waiting for and so very much deserving of the love and care he has not had. Barney is a stunning example of what we do best.
