Buddy is a six year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. There is a lot said about the hyper nature of terriers, particularly the Russell terriers. However that does not describe every terrier and it certainly doesn't describe Buddy Boucheé, AKA Buddy B.
Buddy is a sweet, kind, loving and mellow dog. He is very sensitive to human emotions and is actively loving and comforting during times of sadness or difficulty. I have been fostering Buddy since June and I had hip replacement surgery in August. Buddy is so easy to care for that I didn't request that he go to a different foster home and looked forward to his loving presence during my recovery. He is obedient, totally housebroken, loves to be by your side and loves to snuggle and sleep in the bed. He is very warm and a real blessing on a chilly night. Buddy is a good watchdog and will bark if someone comes to the door. He is also very excited when you come home. He is not a yapper or a constant barker. Buddy is crate trained but is fine in the house alone if he is not crated. He is fine with other dogs and cats but would make a great only pet. Buddy loves children as well.
When Buddy came to me he was very sad about losing his family. The family suffered some losses that required them to give him up and move into an apt.. I noticed after awhile that calling him Buddy seemed to make him sad and remind him of the family he lost. That is when I added Boucheé to his name. A boucheé is a small treat in a cream puff shell with a sweet or savory filling. That describes Buddy Boucheé - a small (13.5 lbs. ) sweet treat. He will answer to Buddy, Boucheé or Buddy Boucheé. He has adjusted and loves all his names.
I have been buying a lottery ticket every week since I got Buddy because I would love to be able to afford another dog. I have four dogs and would gladly add Buddy to the pack if I could. Hurry and adopt Buddy before I win the lottery!
