About Dori

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
This is a complimentary posting. One Saturday afternoon in mid March, I came across an adorable mixed breed dog in the middle of a dangerous curvy road. When I saw her I immediately honked the horn to scare her out of the road. Instead, she laid down right where she was. I came to a screeching halt and jumped out of the car to save her. She came right to me. She was scared and filthy, but very friendly. Thank goodness I picked her up because she was in heat and covered in ticks. I got her cleaned up and checked out. She is heart worm negative, and now fully vaccinated and free of intestinal worms. She has been spayed and is crate trained. I named her Dori after the forgetful little fish in "Finding Nemo". Dori is a very loving 35 pound mix breed dog. She is fawn and has black and white markings on her face and the tip of her tail. She is a young girl between 8 months and one year old. Dori is incredibly grateful to be off that back road. She is wonderful with my two year old daughter. Dori had never been on a leash and was very apprehensive about it. She would not budge an inch. My daughter took the leash and Dori started following her. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Dori is good with other dogs, but needs to be in a home without cats. She enjoys interacting with everyone, and is the perfect dog to take to the dog park and play fetch. She is currently in obedience training and is responding very well. She is intelligent and eager to please. Dori would be the perfect addition to any cat free family. Potential owners will be carefully screened.
