We recently rescued Georgia Peach (aka Mama Dog) as a stray and her 4 pups from a farmer who said he was going to shoot her if we didn't come immediately. Good thing we did because sweet, protective Georgia had dug a deep hole and that is where she placed her pups except it was about to rain and had we not arrived when we did, her pups would have drowned. Georgia, who only weighs about 22 lbs., had her pups Oct. 15th and they all are now cleaned up and in a foster's loving home together where she can safely nurse them. When she is ready, we will have her spayed and vaccinated, etc. She will need to stay with her pups until about Dec. 11th and can be adopted alone after that time.
