Plott Hound / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
Look at this adorable boy. His previous people no longer wanted him :( Tiger is a beautiful 10 month old Plot Hound mix ready for adoption. ... His brindle coat has almost perfect markings. He is great with other dogs, very playful with a genuinely sweet personality. He loves people and would do well with an active family! W e've named him Tiger for obvious reasons. He has beautiful markings as you can see from the pictures. He is 90% housebroken. He is good with other dogs and loves to play with them. He is crate trained although his current fosters have not crated him as he is house broken and not destructive. He sleeps through the night. He is super sweet, really loves to be around people. Here are additional notes from his foster: A few other things about Tiger. He cannot be in an aptment, he's too big with lots of energy. I would recommend a fenced yard though I don't think it's necessary as long as Tiger gets regular daily exercise. He loves to play and would do well with another dog as a playmate. Our dogs help him stay active during the day. He is the type of dog that would likely love the dog park and to walk or run on trails. He likes to visit each room in our house and check to see what everyone is up to. He visits my son (16) and daughter (20) a lot and loves to jump in bed and snuggle with them. He will not do well crated for long periods of time if at all. He was crated during most of the day and night with his former owner and his crate probably feels like punishment to him. I just put him in my bedroom when I go out and close the door. He's not destructive and usually sleeps. He does however bark and cry when I first leave him. He would do well with someone who is home a good part of the day because he loves people and would likely become anxious and sad if left alone for long periods of time. He loves attention and I think he would do great with kids! I'm not sure about infants or toddlers simply because he is quite large and playful. I don't think he would ever hurt them purposefully. He is a high energy dog but nothing out of the ordinary. He's a good boy and quite smart. He will make an amazing pet!
