Scarlet is a sweet girl, who came in with her pups. She is a petite 22 lbs and we think she is a rat terrier/heeler mix. She is good with children, dogs and cats, and does well on a leash. She is very loving and loves to cuddle :)

Scarlet is housetrained, and crate trained and also knows how to use pee pads. She does like to get up on the couch and bed, but she is young enough to be trained out of that habit :)  She also may chew shoes if they are left around, so put your shoes up! She is capable of jumping to counter height, so be careful what you leave near the edge.. She does also jump a little when she gets excited.  Her foster is working on training her not to jump.

She loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, and play chase with them (she is fast!). She does play pretty rough (her foster sister she wrestles with is 70lbs), so she may be suited better with larger dogs.

She loves to play fetch with a squeaky ball, but she doesn't always bring it back. She needs to have some sturdy stuffed animals to play with, and she will pull them apart!. She would definitely do better with other dogs (and children) to play with, because she is pretty high energy. She loves to lie under beds, chairs or tables, so don't be surprised if you can't find her; she is probably under your bed! She is a good guard dog and always barks if someone is outside, but not much at other times. She loves to be in the car and behaves perfectly.

She can jump over a chain link fence, so a privacy fence is required and will be verified.
