Gus is extremely friendly and LOVES people!
Gus is missing several teeth, but he still eats dry food without any problems. He is crate trained and feels safe in his crate. He does well with all of the children we have had him around, however, the youngest child he has interacted with is 8 years old so we cannot speak for toddlers or babies.
He does well with other dogs, however, he is easily frightened/startled and he needs time to acclimate to any new situation.
He doesn't like to go outside by himself, but if the rest of the pack is going he will happily follow them. He eats and sleeps in his crate, he has free reign of his foster home during the day, and in the evening before we go to bed; he can climb stairs but chooses to stay in the living room most of the day. He is still a little bit shy.
Gus LOVES belly rubs, he wags his tail to greet us whenever we walk in the room and rolls over for his belly rub! He prefers not to be alone and would do best in a home where someone will be there most of the time; he will need someone who is willing to be patient with him. He is house broken, however, there have been occasions that he had an accident when he has been startled. He is extremely gentle, loving, and submissive.
