Misty was rescued from a kill shelter in Missouri about a week after she gave birth to 8 puppies. All but 2 puppies died on a cold cement floor. Misty did not know how to keep them warm or fed. We pulled her and her remaining two pups and placed them at a vet hospital where they taught her to care for her babies and she was in a clean and warm environment to do so. The photo with her long hair was taken at the kill shelter days before she gave birth. She's a sweet scruffie mix, about 10 mos. old. We have had her spayed and are treating her for Heartworm. UPDATE: MISTY'S PUPS WERE ADOPTED 2/14 AS SHE BEGAN HER HEARTWORM TREATMENTS. MISTY WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER SHE IS DONE ON MARCH 7. SHE WILL DO BEST IN AN ACTIVE HOUSEHOLD.
