Our Marlene was discovered by our Director as she was driving down a country road and here Marlene was in the middle of nowhere, staggering in the middle of the road. She stopped and Marlene came over to her, very thin and thirsty. Before she ran to her "real" job, she dropped Marlene off at the vet's. We have had her spayed and treated for heartworm, malnourishment and dehydration and given all her shots. She is very friendly. About 9 mos. old. She deserves so much more than the hand she has been dealt in her short puppyhood. She can not be crated unless it is an extra large crate because she will wag her tail until injured by the crate. She requires a fenced yard and room to run but her primary need is human attention. She loves being inside and following you around the house. She adores being by your side. She absolutely prances when she is walked and she loves to trot while leashed as you rollerblade along! Loves to play with other dogs until she drops but she is not a good candidate for small dogs. Since she was starved, Marlene is food aggressive and therefore, not a good fit in a home with small children. Simply feed separately if you have another dog but young kids don't understand the issue so no small children please. Crate trained and working on potty training. She is extremely loyal, smart and very trainable. Marlene needs a foster !!
