Pepper wandered onto a carport one night during a very bad thunderstorm. He was emaciated, weighing only 33 pounds, and suffering from severe ear infections, a painful abscessed tooth, and a urinary tract infection. While efforts were made in vain to locate his family, Pepper was taken into a foster home and treated medically.

He has started to gain some weight, now weighing 49 pounds, and he is a grateful, sweet, snuggly and loving boy. He received dental surgery to remove his abscessed tooth, and his ear infections and urinary tract infection have completely cleared. He takes 1/2 Rimadyl 100 mg twice daily for weakness in his hips that could also improve with more weight and muscle gain.

 Everyone he meets is an instant friend, and he will cover your face with kisses and wiggle his butt with joy at human contact! Veterinarians have guessed him as a 5 yr old Plotthound Mix. He is a neutered male, and now fully vetted and microchipped.

Pepper is lovable and goofy, and has been doing very well in his foster home with another dog. He walks well on a leash and loves to sleep in your bed if you let him.
