Hi, my name is Daniel! I’m a 32 pound beagle, and was found wandering around following my nose. My owner was located, but they couldn’t take care of me anymore, so they let the kind folks at Proverbs take me in!
I’m about 7 years old, super laid back, and love people of all ages – some dogs get irritated by kids, but they don’t bother me one bit! I also get along very well with all sorts of dogs – little, big, hyper, etc. My foster family has a herd of 4 dogs, and I enjoy playing games of chase with them between naps on the couch. I’m house broken, crate trained (although I do get lonely), and do well with grooming. I was sort of shy at first, but I’m finding my voice more each day – my foster mom says my howl sounds like an old country singer with a soft raspy voice. I do snore, but it’s kind of adorable. I’m mostly pretty lazy, but I get super excited when I hear the car keys jingle and see my leash – car rides are the best adventures! The only thing that really gets me riled up is those things called “cats” – such weird smelling creatures, I don’t trust them. I will absolutely need a flawlessly secure fence, because I am an escape artist! Whether you’re single, married, a family with kids, or retired – I would love to bring a little joy into your home. As long as my head is being rubbed, I’m one happy fella!
