Special adopter needed...Sweet little Darby had a rough start in life. As a tiny pup she was allowed to run loose and was struck by a car. She was found and taken to a pound where she stayed until we were contacted. She had a shattered pelvis and a broken leg. Sadly, there was no corrective surgery (specialist consulted) appropriate for these breaks so the medical advice was cage rest and pain meds. 
The bones have now healed, but not without consequence. Darby will always have a limp and likely need meds for early onset arthritis. Additionally, her little pelvis is very narrow and she will need careful observation to be certain she doesn’t get constipated. We realize it will take a very dedicated adopter for Darby, but we also know she deserves nothing less.
Her foster says she is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. 
Special requirements in addition to periodic pain meds, would include never allowing her to have bones or chews which could impact her. She will likely benefit from wet food mixed in her dry food. A home without small children is also likely best.
Darby is ready for that special forever home.
