Thackery came to us from a kill shelter in rough shape having been attacked, best guess, resulting in multiple wounds, including the loss of one ear. We think that just adds to his charm
Thackery is a wonderful dog who would make a great addition to any family! Quick Stats: Roughly 2 years old. Sweet as you can get with a dog. Very fast and a good jumper. Good with all humans. Great with other dogs (would love some in his new home). Good with cats. Personality: Human-focused and inquisitive. He enjoys a busy household where he can trot around and see all the action. He will match whatever energy level is going on (takes naps well but also excited to go for a run.) He is submissive with other dogs and all people and responds well to tone. Bonuses: - Has learned basic commands (sit, paw, down, etc.) and is very smart (could be a great agility dog with his speed and legs!) - "Rings" the bell for when he needs to go outside - Crate-trained and will gently whine if he has been in too long and needs to go out - No sort of food aggression (though he does love him some treats!) His two biggest issues were jumping on people and chewing - both of which are dramatically reduced and have become minor things to be aware of. He is definitely a volunteer favorite.
