"Charles does NOT like to be crated. We can only guess that he may have been continuously crated previously".This isn’t the typical face that draws a crowd of interest, but it should. This is Charles and here is his sad story. Last week on the most bitter cold evening we have experienced this season, someone decided Charles was trash. They chose to put him in a car( he likely thought he was going on a nice ride), drove to a neighborhood, and pulled into a drive, shoved him out, and left him standing. How confused he must have been, how frightened, how hurt. Thankfully, this was witnessed from a distance and that person called one of our volunteers. Kept safe over night, the following day as our volunteer drove Charles to the shelter to follow legal protocol, he rested his head on her shoulder and she cried. Today, his stray hold is up and he is officially becoming a Proverbs’ boy. I would love to see an exceptional adopter step up and apply for this guy who has earned the gray around his sweet old muzzle. He may not be a fluffy pup or a designer breed, but he will be a wonderful, appreciative pet for someone looking for a best friend. Please don’t overlook Charles.
