Polly is a spayed female, white, apple head chihuahua. She is housebroken. She has a sweet personality. She is not the typical “one person” chihuahua. Since being in her foster home, she has liked everyone she has met. She does like to be near her human. She likes to nap beside you or on your lap while you read or watch television. She doesn’t care to be left behind and she will let you know. An apartment home probably would not be best. She has been left at home, uncreated, and there were no issues other than some rather loud fussing when leaving. All was quiet upon return. She seems to like being outside with her human. She seems to like to sit and watch the activities going on around the neighborhood or just to soak up some sun rather than running and playing in the yard. But she has been going out on a long lead so that might be a factor. She seems to have not been exposed to much prior to coming into rescue and is curious about things. For example, the washing machine, she acted like she never heard one before. She was cautious but still approached it to find out what it was. She gets along well with her foster sister (a chiweenie) but does get a little possessive of her human and growls a little if she is on the lap first. She likes her human’s attention. She seems afraid of larger dogs but it might just be due to lack of exposure. She was curious about cats. Her cat foster sister hissed at her initially but both have sat in the human’s lap at the same time with no issues. They greet each other now and smell each other. The hissing has subsided but she will occasionally run after the cat. She is precious and someone is going to be very lucky to be the one to adopt her. Please note: She was able to slip out of a regular collar & a harness but not a martingale collar. And she will run if she slips out of her collar.
