Fred was rescued 8/20/09 from a country road along with sister, Wilma.  They are both skin and bones but as friendly as can be.  They are at our vets who believes they are 3 mos. old.  Fred has an ulcerated right eye which is being treated and we are hopeful it will heal completely with medication only.  Both are being wormed and vaccinated.  While rescuing them we discovered (running loose) a pure bred Great Dane which we suspect is Mom.  Privancy fence an absolute must and a home visit will be made prior to adoption.  Must be willing and able to have a 150 lb dog  live inside your home with you - not in the garage, not in the laundry room but in your living room or where ever you are - especially at night. NO EXCEPTIONS.  Adoption fee is $150.  Great Dane experience preferred.
UPDATE 9/15: Wilma was adopted but Fred remains. We were unable to save his injured right eye and he is scheduled to have that "dead" eye removed soon.  His remaining left eye sees perfectly. He continues to gain weight daily.
