Richard is a rambling old soul, super easy-going in the house, in the car, and on lead €“ he 'll occasionally set off running on a long lead, but he mostly just has a little bit of a pep in his step. He is pretty low energy, with low activity requirements €“ we take a daily hike, which he loves, but he sleeps the rest of the day, sometimes on the porch in the sunshine. And He is very quiet, other than the occasional whine to indicate that he needs something. He mostly sleeps (like a pillow) and keeps to himself. But if He is properly encouraged, he 'll snuggle up against you. ,He is skittish around people €“ He is still learning to trust them, and sudden movements or movements toward him startle him €“ but He is sweet and loving once he trusts you. And He is still a bit timid around dogs. He 'll occasionally interact or try to play with a non-dominant dog, especially when he (rarely) gets the zoomies. But he mostly stays away from dominant dogs and keeps to himself.,,Richard loves a good belly rub and some scratches, but He is not so hot on the serious snuggling just yet. And he really enjoys being groomed, especially with a glove or rake. He loves to lie down in puddles of water, but hates to be out in the rain. He loves to be outside, especially at night, and he would love a fenced yard to explore (although He is happy on lead, too). And he makes the most adorable saucer eyes any time you approach him with treats! ,Sir Richard the Pillow would be a great friend for anyone, but especially for an apartment dweller, truck driver, or any of the other types of adopters with more limited time for exercise. One or two walks a day, and you 're golden!,
