My foster family says that I am the sweetest dog they have ever met. Their dog trainer even said that I was "perfect" when he was helping with my foster sister.  I an kind, patient, and submissive with my fur siblings (1 cat and 4 dogs). It only took all of us only a few minutes to become friends.

 

Because my fur siblings all get medicines, we are fed one spoonful at a time by our humans. Even though I was underfed and hungry, I quickly learned to wait my turn with the pack.

 

I am still nervous to go outside much - especially if it's cold or raining. My foster family thinks it's because I was outside by myself for so long. When it's raining I burrow under the bushes to hide. But I'm learning that I won't be left outside again, so I am getting more confident. 

 

I am very gentle with my elderly humans who have dementia. I haven't jumped on anyone since my first day in the house. I also haven't had an accident since my first day.  My foster family knew that was a stressful day with a long car ride and everything new. A gentle "no" was all it took for me to learn. I am big enough to get things off the counters, and I'm still tempted to do that sometimes.

 

I am learning to play with toys, and I frequently take a couple to bed with me.  I love to sleep on the floor by my foster mom's bed or beside her chair when she gets to work from home.
