Oh my, what can I say about this boy. He is the sweetest little guy, even after all he’s been through. You see, his owner passed away and the family left him and the owner’s other two little dogs in the yard to fend for themselves. Fast forward, and Rufus came to Proverbs and has now been vetted, groomed and learned that there is more love out there for him. Since we always want to be totally transparent with adopters, while being thoroughly examined and vetted, our vet found a small mass on his leg and removed it. While the pathology report showed it was malignant, the vet assured us the margins were great and this should pose no further problem. We are just happy we caught it early! After all, he was needed someone in his corner!
Rufus is very affectionate and super excited to get your attention. He gives his whole heart to his person. Rufus is pee pad trained; he probably was never taken outside until he was left out at the time of his owner’s passing. He just needs someone whom he can count on. He gets along well with all sizes of dogs and doesn’t give a hoot about cats. Get your apps in, because he will be adopted quickly.
