Cattle Dog / Mixed : : Male (neutered)
Willy Wonka’s life didn’t get off to a great start. He and his brother appeared to be dumped and left to their own defenses on the side of the road. His brother didn’t make it and Willy was found laying next to him. Thank goodness a Proverbs volunteer found him and took him in! Flash forward a few weeks and now Willy Wonka is a playful, affectionate, and smart little boy. He seems to have forgotten that tragic experience. He loves to romp and play with his foster sisters, especially if there is a ball or chew toy involved! Willy is also gentle with his senior foster brothers as well! He does well with both larger and smaller dogs. Willy likes cuddling with his foster parents, lounging on the hammock, and kicking his back legs while having his belly rubbed. He loves to be picked up and held! He learns new things quickly! He’s already learned to use the dog door, wait patiently for his meals, and stays put in the living room while his foster parents are eating at the table. He also knows sit and is learning stay! He is also doing really well with potty training for his age and will be house broken in no time. Willy would love a home of his own. While his foster home doesn’t have children, he’s been gentle with children that he encountered at Petco. He would be a great addition to any family, but would especially enjoy having another playful dog to wrestle with. Won’t you consider making Willy a permanent member of your family?
