This guy is a special needs boy; you see he is blind. Named appropriately, Stevie Wonder was rescued dodging traffic and coming close to being hit by a semi. As always, we posted and made every effort to find an owner, but no one came forward.
Stevie Wonder had a horrible cough so we fully expected his blood work to show him to be heartworm positive, but to our surprise, he was negative. Further testing and xrays revealed he had a foreign object in his abdomen causing the cough. Yesterday, surgery was performed and a piece of metal was removed. He is a miracle twice over.. a blind dog dodging traffic and a dog who ingested a sharp piece of metal which could have easily caused him to bleed out.
Stevie Wonder deserves a loving, dedicated owner. Won’t you please get word out about this sweet guy? He is great with other dogs and all people. A fenced yard is a must for potty and play time.
