59 years ago, author Norman Bridwell penned a story of a young girl who received a surprise present for her 6th birthday—Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Approximately 55 years later, a better (yet smaller) Clifford was gifted to the world.
That’s me! I’m Clifford. While I’ve faced a lot of hardship in my short life, my foster mom says you’d never know it based on my sweet disposition, gentle bravery, & unmatched devotion to people I care about. When I’m not admiring your every move, you can find me sunning myself on the porch, rolling around in the grass, or working to get every last morsel of peanut butter from my Kong.
My perfect match would be someone who loves being home, going for walks, cuddling on the couch, sharing popcorn, & playing tug of war with my stuffed alligator. But don’t get me wrong—when you’re ready to get to work, I’ll happily curl up next to you & snooze until you’re ready to take a break.
I’m slowly getting used to enjoying time in my crate, but my favorite place to sleep is curled up at the foot of your bed. In return, I’ll let you sleep in & greet you with an adoring stare. I won’t lie, I’m very scared of other dogs, but ultimately it doesn’t matter—since I’m the only dog you’ll ever need.
