Miniature Pinscher / Mixed : : Female (spayed)
Babygirl is a sweet, funny little lady and is 8-10 years old. The vet thinks she is a Mini Pin / Terrier mix. She weighs around 20lbs, but needs to lose a few pounds. She has an adorable smile where her lip often gets caught on her upper teeth. She loves people, she loves to play with soft squeaky toys, and loves to roam around her foster’s fenced yard. She loves more than anything to sit and look outside at a window, or storm door. She will happily cuddle on your lap. She is fully house trained and will bark to go outside. When left alone in the house, she waits patiently in her bed, and does not need to be crated, but she will happily go in the crate on her own. She sleeps in a dog bed in the bedroom with the humans and the other dogs. She sleeps very heavily and usually sleeps all night. Babygirl walks a little slow, and has luxating patellas in both back legs (her knees dislocate, often after she’s been in one position for a long period). She is being given Rimadyl to help with inflammation and it’s helped immensely. We do not know if stairs will be an issue for her. She is also mostly deaf, but she has learned quickly from the other dogs in her foster’s home, and follows visual signals. Babygirl can get a little over excited sometimes, usually at food time, and can get snippy with other dogs if they get close. It would probably be ideal to feed her in a different room from other dogs. Overall though, she lives quite happily with large and small dogs. We are not sure about cats, but one approached her at the vet and she didn’t really react. Babygirl deserves an exceptional home where she can be given the care and love she needs.
