Look at Sally Sage, remember her? She was abandoned with her older pup on a rural property. She is a wonderful dog who loves her caregiver deeply. This is your typical shepherd/Belgian Malinois who clings to one person. Like so many we rescue, she is heartworm positive. Just last week she started her treatment. She can go out as a “foster to adopt” until she completes her treatment. This means we pay for ongoing treatment while an approved adopter loves her through this process. She still has 2 more treatments to go so that would mean two months with a “ foster to adopt” status. During that time, she would need to be leash walked and limit her activity. She is kennel trained and house trained. She is very food motivated as she has known hunger in the past. She knows her basic commands and walks great on a leash! Sally Sage is such an easy keeper. She is going to make someone so happy because her loyalty is just amazing! Help us and share. Yet another case of good canceling out bad.
