We came to the rescue of Buster because he had been left outside in the rain for quite a while and his caregiver had no where for him to go.  Poor little Buster was left to live outdoors in cold, wet weather while he has been grieving the loss of his owners.  Buster was purchased from a breeder as a pup by an elderly couple and they both recently passed away.  He is 7 years old and we have also had him groomed since this photo.  We bathed him and brought him current on all shots.  He has lived as an inside dog all his life until the death of his owners.
Our foster reports:
Buster was their baby.  The lady died first and recently the man died.  Buster was with him when he died.  When he first came to my home, every night he would go to the refrigerator and bark.  I  had no idea what he was doing.  Thyen I learned that every night the elderly man gave him butter pecan ice cream.   I didn’t have butter pecan so I gave him what I had and he wouldn’t eat it.  So off I went to go buy him butter pecan.  He likes to sleep on his back on the couch with his legs straight up in the air.  HOW CUTE!

We have posted Buster as "Buster Butter" and now you know why.  We would like him to be in a quiet home without children because that is what he is used to and most comfortable with.
