Miss Scarlett is a 50 pound lap dog. She LOVES to play—either with a bone or a stuffy by herself, or chasing toys in the backyard, or wrestling with her foster sister. She is such a sweet soul with typical one year old lab energy. She’s good with cats, kids and dogs. After a really good play session she has been known to take a nap with her eyes open and snoring. Her favorite thing in the world is being with her person, but she is also an independent queen. She adores her crate and goes in without a fuss (but won’t say no to a treat bribe), sleeps soundly throughout the night (10+ hours), and regularly takes a nap in her crate during the day by choice. Miss Scarlett had a rough start to life, found wandering the woods and pregnant with 10 puppies. But now, she is fully accustomed to the good life—as long as there are extra pillows and blankets for her! She is ready to find her forever family and be the spoiled princess she deserves to be. Like all dogs, it can take as Scarlett a few days to adjust to a new environment, but once she does adjust, she is the epitome of a Velcro dog. She does have a bit of a bad back—but absolutely zero restrictions on activity/stairs/wrestling. It just means she walks with a tiny limp and when she gets super excited trips over her own feet. She takes medicine (essentially doggy ibuprofen and a multivitamin) with breakfast and dinner, but is otherwise a perfectly normal puppy (as normal as a lab puppy can be).
