Meet Arctic! Arctic is 10/10 the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet! This gentle pup thrives in a home with a fenced yard and at least one other canine companion to show him the ropes. He absolutely loves being around other dogs, reading their signals well, and respecting their boundaries.
While Arctic is still working on understanding human boundaries and basic commands, he is highly food-motivated, making training a rewarding experience. He’s a smart little guy who just needs patience and consistency. Loud or unexpected noises outside can make him a bit nervous, and his tiny tail is often tucked, but with time and confidence-building, he’s sure to blossom.
Arctic isn’t a high-energy pup during the day—he enjoys his naps—but he gets bursts of playful energy at feeding time and before bed. He’s a jumper, so he’ll need guidance to curb that excitement! He adores plush toys (though durable ones last longer) and his beloved Benebone.
Potty training is progressing well, though he still has the occasional accident, especially if he drinks water freely throughout the day. His foster has developed a routine of taking him out right after drinking, which has been helping. Crate training is a work in progress—he willingly enters his crate but prefers to be near his humans and experiences some anxiety when left alone overnight.
Arctic is a total cuddle bug and would love a home where he can snuggle up with his humans, especially for cozy TV time. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he can also entertain himself with toys. However, he would thrive best in a home with just one or two other dogs to ensure he gets the 1:1 training and confidence-building he needs.
