From forgotten to family-bound, Southern’s journey is truly inspiring. Once scheduled for euthanasia and battling heartworms, he’s now healthy, happy, and ready for a home of his own.

Southern is an old soul with a gentle heart. He may take time to trust, but once he does, his playful, affectionate side shines. He loves the company of other dogs and would do best with a calm, confident companion.

He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys easy strolls, though his hips show a little age. Now finished with heartworm treatment, he’s ready for a life filled with soft beds, belly rubs, and love.
