Hayes is the kind of dog who makes a house feel more alive. Watch him run full throttle across a yard or play with other dogs, and you’ll catch yourself thinking of ways to spend more time seeing life through his eyes. Day to day, Hayes is playful and full of energy. Give him a Kong, a thick rope, or a squeaky toy and he’s in his element. Walks, yard time, car rides—he thrives when his body and mind stay busy. He’s house-trained (still learning), comfortable in his crate, and happiest when he has the opportunity to be around other dogs. Sometimes shy, he’s also gentle, affectionate, and quick to connect when met on his level—sit on the steps and you’ll feel the tail thumps, the body lean, and the face kisses. Hayes is still very much a teenager dog—full of energy and still learning his manners. He’d do well in a home that embraces his playful nature, maybe with older kids who enjoy being active with a dog and understand his boundaries. He may try to eat your remote control if you’re not careful, but he’s all the things that make a dog a treasure. Medical Notes:
