Meet Zeus – A Gentle Warrior Searching for a Forever Foster Home
Zeus has overcome more challenges than any dog should ever face. He arrived at Proverbs with significant orthopedic issues, and despite extensive veterinary care, his “good” leg will likely never be strong enough to support him fully. Amputation isn’t an option, and he will require lifelong medical monitoring and care. He will also be starting hydrotherapy in the Nashville area to support his comfort and mobility.
Because of his medical needs, Zeus is not adoptable and will remain a local forever foster, meaning Proverbs will cover all of his medical care for the rest of his life at Proverbs primary vet. What Zeus needs most now is a loving, stable foster home where he can feel safe and cherished.
❤️ About Zeus
• Friendly with all people — he loves everyone he meets
• Excellent car rider — relaxed, happy, and easy to transport
• House- and crate-trained
• Dog selective — likely due to being unable to physically defend himself; he may react to dogs that bark at him but does well with calmer dogs in his current foster home
• No cats — Zeus has a prey drive and needs a feline-free home
• Uses a mobility cart to get around
• Sweet, gentle, and incredibly resilient
