Annie is a beautiful, petite Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, estimated to be around 2 years old. She came to us as a stray in rough shape, underweight and in need of care, but she’s been steadily gaining strength and confidence ever since. With good food, love, and patience, Annie is blossoming into the happy, healthy pup she was always meant to be.

When she first arrived, Annie had a small cherry eye, which has since been successfully treated. Now she’s feeling great and ready to focus on what she does best—being an affectionate, playful companion.

Annie appears to be house trained and does well in a kennel, making her an easy addition to a home. She absolutely loves playing with toys and has a fun, spirited personality that shines through once she feels comfortable. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but she’s not a fan of cats.

Because of her small size and sensitive nature, Annie would do best in a home with no children under 10, where her space and boundaries will be respected. She can resource guard her food, likely due to her past experiences with being underweight and possibly not having consistent access to meals, so she will need to be fed separately from other pets.

Annie has come such a long way, and she’s ready to find a family who will continue to help her thrive. With her sweet nature and playful energy, she’s sure to bring joy, laughter, and lots of love to her forever home.
