Meet Maury Maury is a beautiful 1.5-year-old medium-sized poodle with the most stunning butterscotch-blonde coat. This handsome boy came from Memphis, where he was at risk of euthanasia, before Proverbs stepped in to give him a second chance. Now he’s ready to find a forever home of his own. Maury is full of love and personality. He’s incredibly smart and seems to have had some training in the past. He already knows how to sit and will even shake when he’s not too distracted. He’s eager to please and would thrive with continued guidance and structure. He absolutely loves other dogs and is very playful, so a home with another dog would be ideal for him. Maury has a high energy level and will need an active family who can keep up with him and give him the exercise and engagement he needs to be his best self. Maury does crate for meals and at night, though he may voice his opinion if he feels it’s not crate time. He’s a talker when he wants to be, but settles once he’s in his routine. His favorite things include Milk-Bones, Nyla bones, and playtime with his dog friends. We are unsure how Maury does with cats or younger children, but due to his energy level, he would likely do best in a home with children over 10. Maury is a fun, loving, and intelligent dog who just needs the right environment to thrive.
