Precious Millie was rescued as a stray on a very busy main city street. She is friendly and sweet but her scars on her left shoulder speak of a hard life although our vet feels she is only between 4 and 5 years of age. She appears to be a pure bred long haired Doxie, black with red highlights and a small patch of white on her chest. Her rescuer said she was so matted that she shaved her down quite a bit and bathed her as well. She could not keep her because her Pit would not allow her inside, had no fenced yard, and her neighbor would "kill her with a tire iron like he did his last dog" if she should enter his yard. Millie deserves an inside, loving and quiet home without active young children or aggressive dogs larger than herself (14#). Ideally, someone who is home a lot and has a routine lifestyle. We have brought her current on shots, spayed and she is heartworm neg. She is a true sweetheart whose time has come for a well deserved good life.
