Pepper was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in TN because his time was nearly up.  Covered in filth, he cleaned up beautifully and has visited the vet and groomers for everything essential.  Pepper is playful and gets along with other dogs.  He just needs a forever home.

Pepper is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative.  He is a healthy little guy.  He loves bringing sticks into the house to chew on!  While he seems to get along w/ older kids, we do not feel he would do well in a home with young children.

He barks when company arrives but stops once they get in the house.  Pepper will get a little nervous and growl if he is surrounded by many dogs at once, but has not snapped at them.  He is under training with the clicker method and is doing well at it.  He is a smart little fellow and is picking things up quickly. His foster has doggy doors and says Pepper uses them and has not had an accident in the house. 

He loves to sit on laps and he wants to sleep on a bed.  He will be an excellent pet for someone.
