Barry, Ben, Bradley, Gilda, Ginger, Ginny and Glenda were rescued together from a local buy-a-puppy-in-the-parking-lot man.

note from foster to adopt family 5/28/11 - We are pretty heart broken over it, but just don't have the time to fully train a puppy. I have time for a dog, but time for a puppy is a very different thing. It was a very difficult descision, because she really is such an easygoing dog & fast learner. We do want to adopt a dog, but are going to be looking for a little bit of an older dog. We love her very much at this point & are definitely ok to foster her until she's adopted.

She's been doing beautifully here with us. We've been working on her potty training & basic commands (she's doing well with sitting, getting better on a leash unless she catches a smell or sees a cat)
She's very scared of most unknown noises or people, and shy/scared around new people until we warm her up to them. She also had an incident with the retractable leash - it got out of my hand & she took off trying to run away from the big noisy sound she was dragging & was a bit traumatized, but I've kept using it to keep trying to get her not so scared of every noise she doesn't like.

She's the most amazingly affectionate dog...she spoons with me! Loves tucking her head into our armpit & legs and just cuddling.

She didn't do so well in a crate, but goes to her dog bed in my bedroom at bed time & has stopped trying so hard to get into bed with me. She stays there all night. Doesn't have accidents while were gone during the day if we make sure to get her to potty in the morning.
