9/7/11 update: Even better news about Goldie!! Trachea has opened and appears to look better thanks to her medicine. Now her only medical concern is her congestive heart failure which has also improved d/t/medicine. She takes enalapril 2 times a day at the cost of $17 per month and we are weaning her off of lasix. Meds can be oredered from Cornerstone and shipped free, foster has all info. Give this precious girl a much needed home so she can enjoy her golden years!!!!! 8/11/11 update from foster: Goldie made it through all of her surgeries with flying colors. They removed 17 teeth so her dental is done. This requires meats only for her to eat. She was also spayed and had her eyes checked and they are fine.
So now her only issues are CHF and partially collasped trachea. She will need to remain on heart meds and lasix once a day (meds cost is $33 a month) and will need soft food to eat.
She is sooooo much healthier and in better shape than before. She's ready to go to a new home now.
Goldie 10 y.o. pomeranian - found on side of road in Dickson County. She has responded very well to meds and all symptoms have subsided (was suffering from heart failure, rotten teeth, partially collapsed trachea). Cost of meds is approx $35/ mo. Goldie is housetrained and needs a foster or forever home until her last days. She is very precious but has suffered abuse and needs love and attention.
