Maxie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
This is a "people dog"! Maxie loves her people; she is very loving and likes to cuddle on your lap and sleep next to you in bed. She has excellent manners and seems to know how to act in the house and on a leash. Coming from an animal shelter Maxie HAD Kennel Cough and has a clean bill of health and up to date on her shots. Maxie likes to walk beside you. She rides very well in the car. She loves to play with other animals - cats, kittens, dogs - she even likes our visiting duck! If given the chance she'd love to chase it but once she was told not to she doesn't try. Maxie has had some mistreatment in her life because she has a healed ring around her neck where a collar grew into her skin. But in our care we have not seen any aggression so her life must have been filled with loads of love.
