Alise is a Maltese mix. She was found in a rural county with long hair so matted that animal control couldn't tell her gender. She was terrified at the shelter and nipped at everyone. The officers said they had to rough her up in order to catch her. Because she nipped, she was scheduled to be put down. She was pulled on 9/8/11 and taken for vet care and grooming. Although frightened at first, she settled down quickly. Her matted hair required shaving. She weighes 12 lbs. and is now current on her vet care, on heartworm preventative and spayed. She is housebroken. She still gets frightened when meeting new people but calms quickly. She loves to be held. She is not suitable for a home with children.
