Miniature Schnauzer (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
This is Matilida a nearly 4 yr old female white miniture schnauzer who rescued from a kill shelter after being surrendered by her owner . Her previous owners had her kept her outside on a farm and were going to shoot her after she started chasing the chickens but they turned her into the pound instead.
Matilda was so matted she had to be shaved to the skin and sat for the 2 hrs it took. She was so good and must have felt so good.
Matilda is a runner though – on the first day at hends foster home she darted out the door at the first opportunity. Fortunately she was caught after she tired out. It is obvious she hasn't een loved on very much in the past but is slowly warming up and starting to come to foster.
Matilda is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, has been spayed ans is up to date on vaccinations so will not be available until early April. She is good with other dogs, does great with fosters 7 year old daughter and now that she is settling in has decided she wants to chase fosters cats.
She needs a home that can give her a lot of love and care. As you can tell from the BEFORE picture – she did not get that from her previous owner….
