Mickey is a purebred Silky Terrier about 1-2 yrs old and weighs 10#'s. He has lots and lots of energy and loves to have his toy ball in his mouth and just run through the house down the hall and then come back and jump in your lap for belly rubs. He will stay in your lap for several minutes and then ready to run again. He will go to his crate when asked to for a morsel of his special food (purchased at vets) due to crystals in his urine. This food is a little more expensive than regular food, but not bad because he doesn't eat much at all. Although he is crate trained, he cannot be crated for long periods of time as he needs to go out to potty - he is basically housetrained but if not taken out regularly will have accidents.
He is a great watchdog also. He plays well with with other dogs and loves kids but not recommended for homes w/ young children. He recently had a "summer" haircut so his hair is very short right now, but as it grows back out it will require regular brushing (which he loves) so it doesn't get matted (or keep it short).
