A very pregnant Madonna was abandoned in the heat spell of July. She was extremely thin and covered with ticks and fleas when rescued. The vet estimates her age at 4 to 5. Her vet check showed that she was anemic and had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. After treatment, she has recovered well. She delivered 7 healthy pups on Aug 1. She is very sweet and affectionate. She weighed 40 lbs. fully pregnant so her normal weight will be in the 30lbs range. She is housebroken and enjoys other dogs.
