Beagle / Chocolate Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed)
Lola is a female (spayed), red beagle mix, approximately one year old. She was recently pulled from a kill shelter (her time was up) where she spent several months under less than ideal conditions. Lola is heartworm negative and is up-to-date on all of her shots. She has a lovely disposition and although a bit timid at first, she adapts easily and quickly. She gets along well with most other dogs, but can be quite bossy at times, which is probably how she was able to survive so long where she was. She is somewhat food-aggressive, which is also probably what enabled her to survive. She is a bit thin right now, but she has already started gaining weight. Lola is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained and trolley-trained. She is a climber and will climb chain-link fences. She is also very athletic and will jump over a four-foot privacy fence. Lola is very playful and loving – she loves to go out and run around, but then loves to come in and lay in your lap. She loves to play with toys – especially fuzzy, squeaky toys, and enjoys chewing on her Nylabone. She is very smart and is eager to please, so she learns very quickly.
