Our Gidget, “A little girl with big ideas” like the heroine from the “Gidget” movies popular in 50s, 60s, & 70s has big ideas of a forever home filled with kind and gentle people to call her own.
Gidget and her six puppies were found as strays and taken to a high kill TN shelter. Gidget was a very good momma and as her puppies were being weaned and introduced to solid food the shelter received a call that a dog had been hit by a car killed leaving four brand new babies. Animal control officers introduced the very hungry newborns to Gidget and this sweet momma began to bathe and nurse them.
Our sweet little Gidget raised her own babies and a litter of orphans and all the puppies were placed in rescues…but our sweet little Gidget was left to die. That’s when group of “Crazy Dog Women” met Gidget and they knew this heroine deserved to be saved!
Like Gidget in the movies our little Gidget has been many places and had many adventures.
